Revolution's 12th Birthday Bash Full Gallery Here
crowd1Revolution is 12 years old and going strong so we thought it would be a good excuse for a party and that’s just what we had!
It was a great turn out and really good to see some of our best friends turn out for the day. Everyone grabbed freebies on entry which started the day off well. The sun was shining so the new outside section was getting fully sessioned. Inside the main emphasis was on the new Flatbank/quarter pipe combo and of course as always, the Death Box was in full swing.

The day started with finding out which unfortunate skater had the worst set up in the building. We soon found an Argos plastic wheeled beast which made its way to the bin in exchange for a brand new Stateside Slimeball setup.

timnandosWe carried on in that vein buy holding loads of best trick comps on scooters and skateboards and dishing out prizes from Mutts scooters, Dirty Dog, Etnies, and free meals at Nandos.

Following on from this we had a skateboard jam on the mini ramp with Ben Greenstreet taking even more prizes from the likes of Enuff and Fracture. An old skool BMX jam went down with some of the local crew who were hitting the Death box and pulling massive airs all received Nandos meals and clothing from Dirty Dog.

One of the most eagerly awaited events was the scooter comp which brought in over 30 competitors each of whom had 1 minute to ride the park by themselves and impress the judges. The buzz was all about first place for which the prize was a MADD scooter kindly donated by the guys at Scooter and Skate. scooters
This ended up with a final of five lads all going MADD around the park to try and get their hands on one of the scarce and hard to get hold of MADD scooters. First place went to Oliver Boarder who had a really clean run and landed everything he went for. Prizes were also given out for best efforts and slams and included Madd T-shirts and more Mutts gear.

By this time Stacy and Bailey had their grill on and were in full swing on the BBQ keeping everyone well fed.
burgers The highlight of the day was the Revolution Staff Demo. All the lads were on form and showed the crowd what is possible. Tim Hoy, Joe Hubbard, Barnaby Fisher-Smith, Sam Watling, Max Pattison, Dan McKusker and Adam Pau all skated their hearts out for the crowd, easily competing in skill with some of the best teams we’ve had here. (Well done lads, we’re very proud!). Unfortunately, Sam Johnson was not able to perform his solo scooter demo due to a Birthday Party in the climbing wall.

vansThe day continued with more spot comps and best tricks around the park even the inliners got in on the action and grabbed some Vans Shoes for pulling out the back flips.
